What is a client-server network? How many types and what? How does client server network work?

Client-server network Usually when we receive any data, the computer from which we receive the data or service is called server. We are clients or consumers because we serve from it. In this network, both workstation and server computers have the opportunity to work autonomously with their own CPU and memory. It consists of a graphical user interface or front end program on the client workstation and other facilities. It stores the back end server programs of one or more servers. In other words, a suitable network for centrally storing data, ensuring security, running various applications and running the network is a client-server network. In this network, one computer owns the resource, and other computers in the network use those resources. The computer that shares the resource is the server, and the computers that share the resource are the clients. All the resources of the network are stored on the server so the resources can be managed from the center. Security is ensured as all u...

What is modulation and demodulation? Different types of modulation methods ?

Modulation and Demodulation Modulation Audio or video waves received through transducers, known as signal webs, are difficult to transmit over long distances. High frequency carrier waves are used to transmit these signal waves over long distances as radio waves. The amplitude, frequency or phase of this carrier wave is changed according to the instantaneous value of the signal wave. Such changes are called modulation. In other words, mixing the signal with the carrier wave is called modulation. Modulation is mainly of two types, namely Amplitude Modulation (AM) and Frequency Modulation (FM). Use of Modulation: How far a real signal can be transmitted by a transmitter depends on two factors, namely -- (i) Transmitting Frequency (ii) Transmitter Power Modulation is used to send the signal farther. Different types of modulation methods: (1) Amplitude Modulation (AM) (ii) Frequency Modulation (FM) (iii) Pulse Modulation (PM) (iv) Frequency Shift Keying (FSK)  (v) Quadrature Amplitude ...

Concept of analog, digital and carrier signals

Analog and Digital Transmission Analog Signal: The system in which variable signal i.e. the signal can have any meaning at any time, is called analog signal. This signal is used for data processing in analog devices like radio, TV etc. The wave/shape of an analog signal is-- Digital Signal: The level of the signal is variable, i.e. the level of the signal changes over time in a certain step, it is called a digital signal. This signal is used for data processing in digital devices like computers, digital clocks etc. The wave/shape of a digital signal is-- Carrier Signal: Carrier signal is a type of high frequency signal, which is used as a carrier wave to transmit electrical signals to distant places. - The wave/shape of carrier signal is the difference between analog, digital and carrier signal: The difference between analog, digital and carrier signal is given below-- Analog signal (i) A system in which the signal is variable i.e. the signal can have any value at any time, is ca...

Difference between manual information system and computer based information system?

Difference between manual information system and computer based information system Computer Based Information System: (i) Computer based information system consists of human resource hardware, software, communication network and data resources. (ii) These systems use hardware, software, communication networks and data resources. (iii) The process of data processing is much easier, the effort is much less but the result is much more than that. (iv) It is also less time consuming and error prone. (v) collects, transforms and processes the information of an organization with the help of such information system and provides it as required by the organization. (vi) Examples of Computer Based Information Systems: Office Automation System, Management Information System, Transaction Processing System, Management Support System, Bank Management System etc. Manual Information System (i) Manual information system without computer or any other electronic equipment, making, using and exchanging inf...

What is the gateway? What is the switch? Switch work? What are hubs and centers? What is a core router?

Gateway: Gateway is a medium, which acts as a bridge or bridge between two networks so that many computers can exchange data together. That is, the device used to connect different types of networks is the gateway. It translates the protocol. It works on layer 7 of the OSI model. Switch: Network switch and network hub are the main pillars of computer networking. In networking, a switch is a device that performs filtering and packet forwarding when exchanging data packets between different parts of a local area network. The switch and SI layer operate at the data link layer. But sometimes it also works at network layer. A local area network (LAN) that uses switches to communicate between its different parts is called a switched LAN. Switches are the network layer that additionally processes data (Layer 3) and are often referred to above as Layer 3 switches. The first Ethernet switch was introduced in 1990. Functions of switches: Network switches are switches connected to most modern E...
