How to maintain and use disks There are basically three types of disks used in computers, namely: (i) Floppy Disk, (ii) Hard Disk, (iii) Compact disk or CD. Of these, the first two discs work on the principle of magnetic and the third optical technology. At present there is not much use of floppy disk.
