| How to partition hard disk:
To partition the hard disk, the system must be run by "Boot disk" (Boot disk) and this disk must have a file called FDISK. (or Press Enter)
Then partition the hard disk as needed.
Use of FDISK in Hard Disk Partition: The hard disk can be partitioned into DOS section and non-DOS section by applying the FDISK command. For this the section is primary DOS partition (primary DOS partition) and the non-DOS section is extended DOS partition (Extended DOS Partition).
After the above menu appears on the screen, type the option number as per your choice and then press Enter. Press Esc to return to the previous menu. And press Esc twice to exit the FDISK program to DOS.
How to delete a partition: To delete a partition or a logical drive of a hard disk, the command must be run in the following way--
(i) Start the FDISK program from the A drive. That is, type FDISK in drive A to enter and then the first screen of FDISK will open.
(ii) From the first screen menu, select option No. 3 ie, Delete Partition or Logical DOS Drive ie write the name and press Enter.
(iii) Type the serial number of the option from the above menu as required and press Enter. FDISK will show the status of the partition or logical drive and provide a message or information that all data on the partition or logical drive will be deleted.
