Rules for using computers in a healthy way
In order to use the computer healthily, the user's seating arrangement and various parts of the body should be kept in proper order. As a result, users can use the computer comfortably and the risk of diseases caused by excessive computer use will be reduced. The following health rules should be followed when using computers:
(i) Healthy computer seating arrangement prevents eye pain, neck, back, waist and shoulder pain, hand, elbow and wrist pain. For example, the distance between the user's eyes and the monitor should be 50 cm to 60 cm. The height of the monitor should be such that the surface of the screen and the user's eyes are at the same level. Monitor brightness should be controlled to avoid harsh or unbearable light and computer room lighting should be adjusted to be tolerable or suitable for work.
(ii) Working in the same asana for a long time may lead to muscle fatigue or fatigue. Therefore, even if the seating arrangement is correct, sometimes the arrangement of monitor, keyboard, chair etc. should be changed.
(iii) Occasional standing or straining of back and arms should be done while working. It will normalize blood circulation in the waist, back and lower body and protect against muscle tension or pain caused by long working hours.
(iv) One should sit upright with the head towards where the gaze is most of the time.
(v) Chairs should be used so that the user can work comfortably and comfortably. Chairs with arms and chairs with necessary back support should be used to place hands along the keyboard.
