Mobile Internet
Currently, mobile phone companies are providing Internet services to mobile phones with the help of GPRS and EDGE technology. In this case, Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) technology is used, where no carol and modem are required, very easily from any part with the help of mobile phone internet - mail exchange, internet banking, e-comy searching for important information, shares in capital market. Important information regarding shopping, admission to educational institutions and any breaking news is known.
Advantages of using internet on mobile phones:
(i) Exchange of essential information easily with the help of internet from anywhere within mobile network coverage.
(ii) The cost of using the Internet is relatively low.
(iii) No hassle of connecting cables and modems.
(v) All the facilities of internet are available on mobile phones. Such as e-commerce, online banking, medical services, searching for important information, selling shares, searching for important information related to admission in educational institutions, etc.
Disadvantages of using internet on mobile phones:
(i) Mobile internet speed is slow in many cases.
(ii) Small screen of mobile phone makes it difficult for many to work.
(iii) If the text of the mail is long, it is time consuming to compose or type. Apart from that, many mobile phones cannot send large size e-mails.
(iv) Navigation or pointing facility is inadequate in most common mobiles. But smart phones do not have this problem.
(v) Not to transmit text or video in different formats to all mobiles.
(vi) Many mobile devices do not support JavaScript and Cookies.
(vii) Many mobiles require separate memory for downloading software.
Wireless communication system: In 1901, Italian physicist Gugliemo Marconi used the source code from the ship to the seashore to communicate first through wireless telex. The method of exchanging information and communicating without the use of any kind of wire is called wireless communication system. With the help of it, the communication between the seller and each other in any part of the world such as talking, text messaging, chatting etc. can be done very easily and quickly. goes It includes mobile portable two-way radio personal digital assistant and wireless network etc. Other examples of wireless wireless technology include GPS units, wireless computer mice, keyboards, headset (audio) headphones, radio receivers, satellite television, and cordless telephones.
Wireless communication systems use different types of energy such as radio frequency, sound energy, etc. to transfer data without the help of wires. This method can transfer data over both short and long distances. Wireless communication is done through –
(i) Radio Freelancing Communication.
(ii) Microwave communication, ie— short-range communication.
(iii) Indirect short-range communication, eg— remote control.
Wireless communication applications include point-to-point communication, point-to-multipoint communication, broadcasting, cellular networks, and other wireless networks.
Common Uses of Wireless Networking:
(i) Users of Smart Phones, PDAs, Tabs, Laptops etc. who travel from one place to another.
(ii) For high-speed internet connection.
(iii) Mobile networks connected through satellites.
Features of using wireless technology:
(i) Cable capacity in conventional communication system with cable has some limitation in distance. This limitation can be easily overcome by using wireless technology.
(ii) Provides backup communication links in case of general network failure.
(iii) Connects movable or temporary work stations.
(iv) Wireless technology is advisable in situations where cabling is generally difficult or economically impractical.
(v) connects mobile users or networks in remote areas.
Applications of Wireless Technology:
(i) Mobile Telephone.
(ii) Wireless data communication, ie Wi-Fi, cellular data services (GSM, CDMA, GPRS, W-CDMA, EDGE, CDMA2000) mobile satellite communication etc.
(iii) Wireless energy transformer, which is a process of transferring electrical energy from an electrical source to an electrical load without the use of interconnecting wires.
(iv) Computer interface devices.
(v) Consumer electronics devices, such as— control devices for televisions, DVDs, etc.
Categories of Wireless Devices, Standards and Implementations:
(i) Radio communication system.
(ii) Broadcasting, Amateur Radio.
(iii) Land Mobile Radio or Professional Mobile Radio, eg TETRA, P25, Opensky, EDACS, DMP, dPMA etc.
(iv) Cordless telephones, eg DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication)
(v) Cellular networks, eg DG, 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G and future wireless.
(vi) Short-range point-to-point communication, such as—
- Wireless microphone
- Remote Control, Transfer Jet,
- Wireless USB Modem,
- IrDA, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification),
(vii) Wireless Sensor Networks, eg ZigBee, EnOcean, PAN (Personal Area Network), Blue-Tooth, Transfer Jet Astra-Wideband.
(vii) Wireless networks, eg LAN (Wireless Local Area Networks), WMAN (Wireless Metropolition Area Networks) Wi-Fi, WiMax, HiperLAN, HiperMAN |
Wireless Internet Access Point:
Wireless internet access points are used for internet connection in homes, schools, colleges, railway stations, airports or public places. Using Wireless Internet Access Points Netbooks, Notebooks or Laptops, Smart Phones, PDAs, Tabs etc. are connected to the Internet through a suitable Wireless Network Card or Wireless Network Adapter. Currently there are two types of Wireless Internet Access Points. Namely—
1. Mobile network, 2. hotspot.
