If you press ctrl + shift + esc from the keyboard on the Core I3 Dual core processor and go to the device manager, you will see that it is shown as a quad core processor. Due to the presence of hyper threading technology, there are quad cores showing.
Hyper-threading technology is a hardware innovation that allows multiple threads to run on each core. Intel Company processors can increase performance and speed by 30% by hyper-threading your cores. Turbo Posting Technology is a frequency boosting technology. If your computer processor is 3.4 GHZ and if this processor has turbo posting technology, it can improve itself to 5.4 GHZ or 4.5 GHZ depending on the work load. It has 2-3 MB cache memory.
Intel core I5 processor does not have hyper threading technology but has Turbo Posting Technology. Thanks to which the processor can automatically increase its speed during work.
Why is hyper threading technology used in processors?
Hyperthreading basically runs multiple threads for each core. So that the CPU can do more work. Google Chrome browser uses different cores for each website, so if the computer has less cores, it shows "Browser Not Responding". So if you open multiple tabs, the browser hangs.
Dual core means two cores, Quad core means four cores, Hexa core means six cores and Octa Core means eight processing cores in each CPU chip.
