We are all somewhat familiar with the term VPN. However, we all know this name, but very few of us know about it.
Today we will briefly discuss what VPN is, what it does and why VPN is needed.
What is a VPN?
The full form of VPN is Virtual Private Network.
Simply put, a VPN is a fictitious ‘tunnel / channel’ through which information can be exchanged securely / secretly.
This ‘tunnel / channel’ or tunnel does not exist in reality, it basically means a fictional / virtual private network through which information can be exchanged securely on the internet.
The Internet is a place of open information exchange. Suppose you are playing football in an open field, where many others like you are playing, your ball may go in the middle of their game and their ball may come in the middle of your game, so that anyone can kick that ball. Again, those who play with the entire field, no one else can get in the middle of the game.
In the same way, since the Internet is a public network, that is, everyone in the world is connected, there is a risk that the privacy of information will be leaked in the case of direct information exchange, meaning that anyone will be able to see your information.
To avoid this security risk, a VPN is a way to connect to a private / confidential / fictional network to exchange your personal or private information using the Internet. This method creates an imaginary tunnel on the Internet to connect users and private networks.
