Resolution refers to how many pixels there are on a camera or computer or mobile device screen. That is, it can be understood that if there are more pixels in a certain place, the resolution will be better and something displayed on the display will look very good. Again, if the pixels are less in certain places, then the resolution is bad, it means that the image or video will look bad and not as clear as it should be. Simply put, if the resolution is low, the image will not be clear. If I tell you with an example, then I think that your brain is very easy. For example, a 1080 pixel image can be seen on a 5-inch monitor, but on the other hand, it will not be as good on a 20-inch monitor. Because there are more pixels less space.
ppi means pixel per inch and ppcm means pixel per centimeter. That is, how many pixels there are in 2 inches or 12 inches, we determine with ppi.
There are different types of resolutions that we hear when we buy a monitor or a mobile. Among them, the most used resolutions are:
SD -- Standard-Denition
HD -- High-Definition
FHD -- Full High Definition
UHD -- Ultra High Definition
4k
8k etc
720 x 1280 This resolution is called HD. The higher resolution is FHD which is 1920p x 1080p meaning 2.1 megapixel. And bigger than that is 2k resolution which is 2048p x 1080p.
4k is standard resolution which is 4096p x 2160p which is called ultra high definition. The resolution that we usually see on TV is this UHD resolution.
The next resolution is 8k resolution. Which is the latest skin resolution. It is 7680p x 4320p or 33 megapixels.
If a display has 8 pixels horizontally and 5 pixels vertically, then the resolution of that display will be 8p x 5p.
Pixel key: The display consists of many small particles, they are called pixels. A 1080p screen has about two million pixels. And we see that pixel reflected on the entire screen in HD resolution.
One million pixels equals one megapixel.
