Space Exploration
Knowledge of space in the 20th century is not possible without the use of information and communication technology. By capturing, processing and storing data, it is possible to quickly learn about starlight falling on the surface, space, other planets and Earth.
In September 1962, US President Kennedy made an appeal to students and faculty at Rice University for American research into space. Man wanted to go to the moon not because it was easy, but because it was challenging. Man traveled to the moon by proving the power and capability of man. Information technology was still being used when Galileo was looking at the stars, moon and planets through a telescope. When space travel was first ventured into, not much was possible without the help of IT.
Space flights move at such high speeds that it is impossible for humans to calculate their positions. Let's say the rocket is traveling at 30,000 km/hr in space. The speed, trajectory, fuel, temperature, direction etc. of such rocket should be given through computer program. According to the data received from the various devices used in the rocket, any accident can happen if the computer used on the surface processes and sends signals automatically.
